The Welsh Academy is currently accepting applications for grades 6 & 7. Inspired by the Catholic faith in the Jesuit tradition, The Welsh Academy serves the unique needs of early adolescent boys of modest economic means in their journey of becoming Men for Others.
I believe in educational equity, the City of Cleveland and opportunity. These ideas along with a strong connection to Jesuit spirituality and love of Fr. Welsh brought me to the Academy.

The history and mission of the academy dates back to the 1990s when it was simply a dream of former president Fr. Robert J. Welsh, S.J. '54. It continues today where new chapters of its story are now being written.

A key element to the curriculum at The Welsh Academy is the variety of affinity courses offered to our students. These short-term courses provide a hands-on introduction to new and exciting activities or subjects to help our students discover their talents and see where their interests lie.

Our school is set up to meet the unique needs of middle school boys. In addition to classes, the student experience includes a school uniform, meals, transportation, sports and extracurricular activities, and code of conduct.
