Meet Our Team

We are a family, and our teachers and staff are wonderful people who care abundantly about students, families and one another. Here’s a little bit about the amazing men and women at our school.

Founding Principal Mary Ann Vogel:

Dr. Vogel is the Founding Principal of The Welsh Academy, joining the Saint Ignatius High School community in 2018. She has her doctorate in education and a long career in educational administration. In fact, The Welsh Academy is not the first school she started; Dr. Vogel helped launch St. Martin de Porres High School in Cleveland in 2004.

A resident of Collinwood, Dr. Vogel is an active member of St. Vitus Parish and Cleveland’s Slovenian cultural community. She has a pet cat, Sheba, and enjoys taking pictures of sunsets on Lake Erie.
