Our Mission is Essential

Our plan to open school in August reflects the input of our faculty, our parents and healthcare experts. With a shared desire for the health and well being of our community, several protocols will be in place. While school may look different, our goal of providing our students with an academically rigorous, Catholic education in the Jesuit tradition remains unchanged.

Saint Ignatius High School

Men for Others

Build a brotherhood. Serve strangers. Cultivate a community. Through service, justice and faith-based initiatives, Saint Ignatius students learn to serve their school, their city, their Church and their world.

I love being part of the Labre Ministry. Meeting these wonderful people who don’t smile often and making them smile a little bit, that will always be happiness in my heart.

  • Christian Action Team

C.A.T. is the umbrella service organization at Saint Ignatius and gathers weekly for all students to discuss and share about those whom they serve. Programs include Labre, Pallbearers, the Christmas Food Drive and more than a dozen others.

  • Arrupe Neighborhood Partnership

The community outreach arm of Saint Ignatius, Arrupe is the home to several after-school programs for neighborhood children and one of the city’s largest summer camps.

  • Sophomore Service

All students are required to complete Sophomore Service, a structured service-learning program that introduces young Ignatius men to the needs of the community around them. Students are placed at service sites around the west side of Cleveland.

  • Ignatians for Peace & Justice

A student-driven group that pursues issues of justice, I.P.J. leads the campus fair trade initiatives, sends students to marches and rallies, partners with other Catholic schools, and promotes a faith that does justice through action.
