For the past eight years, Tom Healey has written bi-weekly blogs sharing reflections on the gospel, worldly events, campus life and really, anything imaginable. His hope was to continue the Saint Ignatius education, connect with past and present students and families, and bring to light the essentials of our Faith. After 832 blogs, he humbly has done just that and so much more.

May we honor and remember the beautiful life and significant impact of Father E. Canfield S.J., who served as a Jesuit Priest at Saint Ignatius High School for nearly 10 years. May his life, laugh and legacy be remembered forever. Details about Father Canfield's wake and funeral arrangements can be found below.

Saint Ignatius High School is excited to announce our new "Give a Roar" peer-to-peer recognition program, which allows employees an opportunity to nominate co-workers for mission-driven actions that go above and beyond their assigned work responsibilities. Working as closely together as ever, the Christian Action Team, Campus Ministry and the Theology Department have ushered in a new era of faith, service and justice. For the Fall 2022 cover story of Saint Ignatius Magazine, Connor Walters '09 explores the service programming and faith-based curriculum that are all at the heart of our mission.

As a college counselor at Saint Ignatius High School, Amy Carroll guides students on their academic journey, but as the co-moderator of Friends with L’Arche, she invites students to be part of an even bigger story. Carroll is our Fall 2022 Unforgotten Face from Saint Ignatius Magazine, written by Laura Bednar.

Four years ago, Connor Drake ’12 created his own non-profit that donates cars directly to people in need. Wheels 2 Work takes donated vehicles in working condition with a Blue Book value of $2,500 or more, and gives them directly to individuals so that 100% of the car’s value makes it to the recipient. Connor Walters ’09 has spent nearly 8 years as an employee at Saint Ignatius, transforming the Communications Department, Labre Ministry to the Homeless, and the Crew team in countless ways. In today’s Lesson from Loyola Hall, Mr. Healey congratulates and honors Connor as he moves on to Syracuse University to join their highly regarded rowing program.

Throughout the spring, Saint Ignatius alumni have given their time and energy in service to the Cleveland community. Several separate projects serving a variety of constituents helped make a difference for people and communities in need, as alumni continue to live out the Saint Ignatius motto of being Men for Others.
