Super Smash Bros. Club:  Come to Room 414 after school TODAY, Friday for our monthly Ultimate tournament. No prior registration is required, but please arrive by 3 PM if you want to be entered into the bracket. New players are always welcome.

Green Team: Still looking for ideas for a Lenten promise? The Saint Ignatius Green Team has some environmentally conscious options that anyone can do. Go vegetarian. Or,  If you don’t actively recycle or compost at school and at home, take steps to consciously be aware of how you dispose of your waste. Or, skip buying or using any single use plastics, such as straws and plastic cutlery. These are a few simple things you could add to your Lenten promise this year, and if you wish to join Green Team, we meet every Monday immediately after school in the Campus Ministry to help the school recycle.

SOPHOMORE STUDENT AND PARENT COLLEGE NIGHT:  You are welcome to join us on Thursday, March 5th at 7:00pm in the Breen Center for an informative program about the college search process.  Topics will include using Naviance to search for schools, visiting campuses, and a bit on financial aid.  This program is not mandatory.

COLLEGE READINESS DAY FOR SENIORS:  On Wednesday, March 4th, all seniors should report to Saint Mary's Chapel by 7:50am.  We will begin the day with Mass, which will be followed by presentations on preparing for college, mental health issues in college, and habits of successful college students.  Seniors will be finished for the day just after 11:00am.

HydroCats Club: The Hydroponics club meets every Monday at 3 in rm 201. New members are always welcome

The ASTRA Aerospace Club is starting work on a research project in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) with a Case Western Reserve University professor. At our meeting this coming Thursday, our club will prepare for this opportunity, use flight and space simulators, and create model space colonies. ASTRA meets in Science Building room 101, Mr. DeCarlo's room. Contact junior Ferenc Somogyi or Mr. DeCarlo for details.

National Honor Society: All juniors interested in candidacy for National Honor Society for the 2020-2021 school year, please see the email from Mrs. Hanna to discern eligibility for membership. All forms included in the email are due by Friday, March 27th. Please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Hanna with any questions.

SCOPE: Penny Lane, the black lab therapy dog and her owner Ms. Filmer who visited the campus during Mental Health Awareness Week, will be visiting every Tuesday for the remainder of the semester.  They will be in the atrium and possibly walking around gathering spaces on campus from 11-12:30.  Please be sure to stop by and say hello, spend a moment or two petting the dog, and enjoy the benefits that can bring.

Civil Rights Stations of the Cross:  Jesus’ walk to Calvary is similar to the journey of Civil Rights in this country.  When we look at Christ in his suffering we talk of his courage, and so when we look at the activists of the past and present, we should give them the same respect. No one ever says “forget the passion of Christ.” Yet, many Americans tell us to forget America’s brutal past.  Please walk with us on the journey of Christ and the Civil Rights Movement as we remember our challenges as a community and a nation. We will pray the Civil Rights Stations of the Cross on Tuesday, March 10 in St. Mary of the Assumption Chapel at 3:00 p.m.  Please join us.
