Easter Break will continue as planned from Holy Thursday on April 9 through Sunday, April 19, 2020. Online classes will resume on Monday, April 20, 2020. Our Jesuit community will continue to offer Masses through online broadcasts during Holy Week.

Math teacher Mr. John Rowell '11 spent some time last week teaching his students how to bake bread! The special Zoom class was just for fun, to help students learn a new skill during this time apart.
The Class of 2020 continues to display its heart. Senior captain Johnny Novak '20 wrote an open letter to the Wildcat wrestling community.

Charlie Minerd '20 earned a full Academic Scholarship to Saint Louis University. Minerd has enjoyed an exceptional career as a student-athlete at Saint Ignatius. With a cumulative GPA of 4.08 and two years under his belt as a starting goalie for the Lax Cats, Minerd's resume is pretty nice. Progress continues on The Welsh Academy building. This week the original red brick exterior emerged as the expansion on the rear of the former church went up. As they keep building on campus, The Welsh Academy teachers and students continue learning and teaching from afar!
The Saint Joseph of Arimathea Pallbearer Ministry continued its longstanding tradition of praying for those whom the ministry has served. Mr. Dan Baron, Theology teacher and moderator, represented the entire 500-person ministry with his presence at the burial ground for more than 18,000 people. Co-moderator Mr. Pat Valletta, along with student leaders and some adults, participated online for the 30-minute prayer service. During this Holy Week, may God grant eternal rest upon all those our ministry has served, as well as who who have died during the COVID-19 crisis.
