In celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday, Saint Ignatius High School students are invited to participate in a variety of activities on January 13 and throughout the month of January.

Theme: "More Than A Dream"


Prompt: Is there a person, organization, or initiative that you think is continuing to live out Dr. King's 'dream?' What would the 'next step' look like in this dream becoming a reality? How are you (and how are we) invited to participate in that next step?

Launch: January 13, 2022

Submission Deadline: January 27, 2022. Please use this folder to submit your essay.

Winner Announcement: February 4, 2022

Awards: First place will receive $100, second place will receive $50, third place will receive $25.

Contest Rules:
-Must be a Saint Ignatius High School student
-One essay per student
-Essays must be submitted electronically to this Google Drive folder by January 27, 2022.
-Essays must be original, typed, double spaced, 250-500 words and submitted as a Microsoft Word document or PDF.
-Essays will be judged on content, voice, creativity, grammatical structure and overall conformity to the theme.
-Winners will be announced February 4, 2022
