Board of Regents

The men and women who compose the governing body of the school. Their responsibilities include: develop and establish policy for the school; assess the performance of the President and senior staff; and, oversee the school’s financial viability.

The Board of Regents is the governing authority of Saint Ignatius High School. Board duties include: develop and establish policy for the school; provide oversight for the school’s educational mission and Catholic tradition; assess the performance of the President and senior staff; oversee the school’s financial viability and its physical plant and support the school financially.

Timothy Barnett, MD
President of Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital, also serves as an assistant professor of surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. He is board certified in general surgery, and continues to staff a clinical practice in general surgery at Lutheran Hospital

James Free '86
Selected as the associate administrator for the Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate at the agency’s Headquarters in Washington by NASA Administrator Bill Nelson on Sept. 20, 2021. At the time of Jim’s appointment, NASA also announced the directorate leading all the agency’s human spaceflight operations would separate into two areas. Jim leads a new directorate the agency is establishing, as well as work closely with the Space Operations Mission Directorate. Jim is a formerly retired NASA civil servant who has spent the past few years in a variety of private sector roles including most recently chief operating officer and senior consultant for Lead Off the X. Prior to his work at Lead Off the X, he served as senior vice president of Aerospace Systems at Peerless Technologies.
