Saint Ignatius High School

Your Family and Ours

One of the guiding principles of The Welsh Academy is the importance of building relationships. We believe the relationship we have with parents/guardians are as important as the one we will have with your sons. We hope you will feel comfortable in informing us about your child, special events, or occurrences taking place at home.
The Welsh Academy strives to ensure that communication between academy families and the school is open and truly a partnership. We encourage parents/guardians to take an active role in communicating with their son’s teacher or other school personnel.

We know that time is in short supply, so we ask in advance for parents/guardians to remain committed to attending community meetings, participating in school events, adhering to the daily school schedule and school calendar, while also remaining fully prepared for school every day.

In these first years, in which we will be building The Welsh Academy together, we ask for your support and talent as we develop the culture of our school that allows all students to be develop into young men who are prepared to become leaders within the academy, high school, and their communities.

  • Big Brother Program

Saint Ignatius students serve as "big brothers" to Welsh Academy students. These Welsh brothers will hang out with the boys, attend special events together, and provide mentorship and support.

  • Family Resources

All incoming Welsh Academy students must submit a Saint Ignatius High School physical before the start of a new school year. Parents should notify the school of other medical conditions using the forms provided here.
