Apply to Attend The Welsh Academy

Are you looking for a unique educational experience to prepare you for a college-preparatory atmosphere? Read more about becoming a part of The Welsh Academy and learn how to apply for next year's incoming 6th grade class. Apply today!

The Welsh Academy looks to enroll 25 students each year to the sixth grade class. Ideal applicants are students who primarily live in Cleveland or its inner-ring suburbs, and who attend either public or charter schools. Prospective students should demonstrate personal commitment and academic promise though most may not have had opportunities that allow them to reach their fullest promise and potential.

The goal of The Welsh Academy is to educate middle school boys in the Jesuit tradition to ready them for a college-preparatory secondary education. Through our unique curriculum and faith-based learning, students learn to become leaders in our school, in their communities, and in our world.

Finalsite Admissions Online Portal

Thank you for your interest in learning more about The Welsh Academy!

Our Finalsite Admissions Online Portal is currently down for scheduled maintenance for the summer.

While we work behind the scenes, the Finalsite Admissions Online Portal (inquiry form, application and event registrations) and the Admissions website will be temporarily down. But don’t worry — it’ll be back before school starts in the fall. We are making important updates to improve the site’s design, organization, and overall user experience. Our goal is to make it even easier for you to apply, register for events and upload all supporting documents for your son’s Welsh Academy application.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work behind the scenes. In the meantime, please contact our Admissions Coordinator, Toni Torres-Regula, at (216) 939-2107 or email aregula@ignatius.edu for more information.
