Khouri Family Invests $1 Million in Vision ’30, Naming Athletics Offices in DiSanto Hall

Building on a tradition of athletic excellence and strengthening the mission of forming Men for Others

CLEVELAND, OH—Saint Ignatius High School is proud to announce a $1 million gift from the Khouri family—Jonathan ’06, Rustom ’12, Mary, and Dr. Rustom Khouri. This generous commitment to the Vision ’30 Capital Campaign will name the athletics offices, The Khouri Family Athletic Suites, in the newly constructed DiSanto Hall. The gift will directly enhance the work of our coaches and athletic administrators, providing them with a state-of-the-art space to lead the future of Wildcat Athletics and continue mentoring young men—both on the field and in life.

The Khouri family’s leadership reflects their belief in Saint Ignatius's mission to form Men for Others and the essential role athletics plays in shaping young men into leaders. Their generosity will strengthen opportunities for students from all backgrounds, ensuring Saint Ignatius continues to transform lives for decades.

“Wildcat Athletics was an important part of my Saint Ignatius experience,” said Rustom Khouri ’12. “The lessons I learned on the field, including teamwork, resilience, communication, and leadership, have carried through every part of my life. Our family is proud to give back in a way that directly supports student-athletes and the coaches who guide them, while also helping future generations benefit from the mission and values that make Ignatius so special.”

The Vision ’30 Campaign prepares students for the challenges of tomorrow while remaining rooted in our Jesuit Catholic mission of academic excellence, faith formation, and accessibility. “My time at Ignatius played such a pivotal role in developing the moral compass with which I’ve approached life’s challenges, and with gratitude for the tools I was given to grow, we humbly contribute to the Vision ’30 Campaign and support the growth of current and future men for others,” said Jonathan Khouri ’06.

Rev. Ray Guiao, S.J. ’82, President and Chief Mission Officer, expressed his gratitude:
“The Khouri family’s generosity is a powerful statement of faith in our mission and in the role of athletics at Saint Ignatius. Our coaches and athletic staff do far more than teach the fundamentals of a sport—they form leaders, instill discipline, and help young men grow into their best selves. This gift honors that tradition and propels us forward in our Vision ’30 campaign, inspiring others to join in shaping the future of Saint Ignatius.”

The Khouri’s leadership in Greater Cleveland sets a powerful example of generosity and service that they hope will inspire others to join in this effort. “The greatest gift we can give future generations is the opportunity to experience a Saint Ignatius education,” added Dr. Rustom Khouri. “Athletics teaches lessons that go far beyond the playing field. By supporting this project, we are investing in the coaches and mentors who help shape student-athletes into leaders of character, faith, and service—and in turn, we are strengthening the community we love.”
