LUNCHTIME MASS:  Fr. Shelton, S.J. will celebrate Mass today during 6th period 11:45 a.m. in the Companions Chapel.  All are welcome to attend.

MATH CLUB!! (I know, the name is horrible.) Come to Room 231 on Wednesday @ 3pm. No calculators, no calculations - just bring your imagination, we are going to build and create.  And eat cookies. And come up with a better name. See you there!

Young Authors Club:  The Young authors Club will be meeting tomorrow (WEDNESDAY) not Thursday this week at 3:00 in room 418.
The Chess Club meets on Wednesdays in room 101 after school.  All are welcome
The Cycling Club will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, in Room102 at 3 pm.  All levels and types of cyclists are encouraged to attend.  We will be planning our September 28 morning ride.
Notre Dame Club: the first meeting of the year will be this Wednesday after school in 223 Loyola Hall.  The Notre Dame Club is a social and service organization connected with the Notre Dame Club of Cleveland. All are welcome.  If you have any questions please see Mr. Healey.
The Multicultural Student Union will meet this Wednesday at 3 pm in room 313 of the main building. Please join us as we will be preparing to schedule events and election of officers for the school year. We hope to see as many students as possible. Please see Mr. Sanders for further details. 
Cell Phone Recycling:  Mr Nolan is again recycling cell phones and tablets/IPads.  Please no computers! Bring old cell phones (remember to reset them to factory settings!) to Room 102 and place them in the box outside the door.

This is the last day to claim lost items from Homecoming.  The AP office will remove lost items on Wednesday.
Ignatian Global Scholars:    We're planning a year of fun and informative events focused on India, beginning with Indian food, coming soon to the SIHS cafeteria. Contact Senior Andrew Zuchold for more information.
The DJ CLub will have its first meeting of the YEar in the DIversity and Inclusion Office to prepare for upcoming events. IF you have an interest in providing entertainment through music please stop by at 3 pm on Thursday, September 20th at 3 pm. Please email Mr. Sanders for further details.
The Circus Company is a club where students get the opportunity to showcase, learn, and advance skills in juggling, magic, and more.  All students are welcome, regardless of skill level.  Our next meeting will be tomorrow from 3-4 in the Breen Center lobby.  Feel free to stop, eat some free pizza, and learn how to juggle!
TAIZE PRAYER SERVICE: You are specially invited to our first Taize Prayer Service of the new school year this Sunday, September 23, 2018, at 7:30pm in St. Mary of the Assumption Chapel on the campus of Saint Ignatius High School.  Come and see what it's all about this Sunday.  Bring the whole family and make an evening of it. 
SIEntA:  Attention all students who want to learn about business and entrepreneurship.  Please consider joining SIEntA, our school's business club.  We have real life business projects, paid internships, stock competitions, and our very own shark tank.  What's more?  You can earn or win money for each of those aforementioned activities! If any of this sounds good to you, please join us in the LIBRARY CLASSROOM on any Tuesday at 3PM.  That's the Saint Ignatius Entrepreneur Academy on Tuesday at 3PM.  New members are always welcome!"
SHANE ROCK: This Wednesday, representatives from Shanerock will be in the Rade Dining Hall during all lunch periods offering students an opportunity to sign up for the Shanerock Run on Sunday, Sept. 30 at Saint Ignatius. Please be sure to sign up and support families struggling with the challenges of pediatric brain cancer.
Golfers For Others: Our second fall Golfers For Others outing will be held on Wednesday, September 26th at 3:30 pm at Little Met Golf Course on Cleveland’s west side.  This activity is open to any student who has a set of clubs and has golfed before.  We have a limited amount of spots available.  The first 28 golfers to return the Parent Permission Form and $20 will be added to the roster.  If interested, pick up an information sheet and the  Parent Permission Form from either Mr. Baron (2nd floor of Loyola Hall) or Mr. Cooney (Room 301 of the science building).
MARIO KART TOURNAMENT: Attention Students! Next Thursday September 20th, the Sophomore Class Senate will be hosting a Wii Mario Kart Tournament during lunch periods 4 through 7 in the senior lounge. You and your friends can sign up during your lunch period next week, Monday through Wednesday, at the table in the senior lounge. The entry fee is $2 per person and the proceeds will benefit a Sophomore Class Tailgate. Contact Mr. Kaiser with any questions or concerns.

IGNATIANS FOR LIFE: The club invites you to join us each Tuesday morning before school (7:30 a.m.) in the Castele room, and on Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. for the Most Holy Rosary outside on Marian Mall.  All are welcome.

Pink polos are returning!  This year a dri-fit, hot pink polo will be available to purchase online at this link:  pink polo order form & payment. Proceeds from each sale will benefit a member of the Saint Ignatius community impacted by breast cancer.  The sale begins ends tomorrow, Wednesday, September 19th.  Shirts will be delivered the first week of October. JAZZ ENSEMBLE:  Interesting in performing some staples of the swing and big band era along with latin, dixieland, funk, and modern pop tunes? Know how to rock a killer solo on guitar or bass guitar? Join us! Auditions for the 2018/2019 Saint Ignatius Jazz Ensemble will be held on Monday September 17th, Tuesday September 18th, and Wednesday September 19th in the Breen Center for the Performing Arts. Audition signups are available in the Breen Center, on Mr. Hamlin's office door. Please contact Mr. Hamlin ( for audition repertoire and more information.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: The colleges and universities listed below will be on our campus the week of September 10th. You may attend any session during a free period. Seniors only-if you have class, you must obtain permission from the teacher one day in advance to attend. Please be vigilant about checking the college visit schedule so you can plan ahead and not miss the same class numerous times.
