EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: Everyone is invited to Eucharistic Adoration this Friday at 11:00 in St. Mary's Chapel. Come and hear senior soccer player Giancarlo Sarti share how his Catholic faith has made a huge impact on his life.

HYDROCATS: Will meet during lunch periods today between 11-12:30 - check into 301 then head to the greenhouse.

COLLEGE COUNSELING: College Rep visits continue this week! Senior and Junior students are invited to attend the information sessions in the College Counseling office. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about academic programs and campus life, and to ask questions of admission representatives. Visits will be in person, unless otherwise noted. Pre-registration on Naviance is encouraged for all visits, but mandatory for virtual visits in order to obtain the link.

COLLEGE INTERVIEWS: John Carroll University will be conducting individual interviews today in the Library Distance Learning Lab for pre-registered students.

ATTENTION SENIORS: College Counselors will be available all week during the formation period for drop-in sessions to help with your college applications, essays, and other questions:  Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri  11:00-12:40 in the Counseling Conference Room Wed 11:35 to 12:40 in the College Counseling Office
 
CONGRESSIONAL DEBATE: practice will be on Wednesday, October 27 from 11:45 until 12:15. Check Google Classroom for the updated legislation. Contact Mrs. Gross if you have any questions.

CHRISTMAS FOOD DRIVE: The 85th annual Rini Family Christmas Food Drive invites all students to be members of this year's student Core Team. Meetings will begin on Tuesday, November 2, after school in the library. Core Team members commit to the weekly Tuesday meetings, committee work, basket-filling on Friday, December 17, and delivery day on Saturday, December 18. To join the Core Team, please come to the first meeting. Full details about the food drive are available at www.ignatius.edu/CFD.

CLEAN TEAM:  The next Clean Team outing of the school year will be Thursday, 10/28/21 after school. No need to sign up, just meet on the steps of St. Mary's Chapel at 3:20 pm on Thursday.  Note: in case of rain we will reschedule.  For more information, see Mr. Savastano or Mr. McCafferty.  The Clean Team is open to students of all grade levels.

CLIMBING CLUB: The Climbing Cats are back! We are open to all ages and skill levels. If you are interested in rock climbing or want to learn, join us in MB212 on Wednesday at 11:40. We plan to climb next week, so join us in the meeting to learn about how to get a free week of climbing at Nosotros Rock Climbing Gym and climb with us next week! FRIDAY NIGHT FIRE: You are invited to Friday Night Fire at St. Ignatius High School on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Mary's Chapel.  This will be an evening of Eucharistic Adoration, reflection and fellowship. The evening will begin with Eucharistic Adoration, some faith witnesses and all in attendance will have the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The evening will conclude with some pizza and fellowship. There is no cost for this event. Please free to attend alone, as a group or bring your parish youth group! We really hope to see you on Nov. 12th.

NEW TUTOR ALERT: SCIENCE! Mr. Ed Nolan, retired SIHS science teacher, will be available in the Walton Center on Tuesdays and Wednesday from 8:30 - 12:45.  He is available to tutor biology, chemistry, and physics.  No appointment necessary.
 
DEBATE: Students interested in state and national Policy debate competitions can meet in room MB512 after school every day
 
IGNATIAN ALLIANCE: Are you looking for a sense of community and conversation? Alliance is open to students of all sexual orientations and identities, allies, and teachers. METAL CLUB: Do you like metal music? Do you play metal on your respective instrument? Well great, because either one is welcome and encouraged to come. We listen to metal, talk about metal, listen to new releases, and jam out. Come up to Room 511 with Mr. Petras every Thursday to see what’s going on in the metal world!
 
PEER TUTORING: Attention students: we are now accepting peer tutoring requests. If you are having trouble in a class and would like to be matched one on one with a tutor for extra help, please use the following link to fill out a request form. You must fill out the form using your student gmail account. Only requests through this form will be considered. If you are interested in working as a peer tutor or have questions, reach out to Mrs. McDonnell or Mrs. Giavonette.

RUNNING WITH THE CATS: Attention all students. Do you like being outdoors and helping others? Then running with the Cats is perfect for you. So join in the fun as we encourage others with special needs to get outside, exercise, improve their social skills, and learn how to achieve goals. We will meet at the top of Edgewater Park every Monday, weather permitting, from 4:15 pm- 5 pm. Please reach out to Mrs. McDonnell, with any questions. We hope to see you there!

SIBN: SIBN will meet to discuss Winter Athletics on Tuesday.  Juniors and Seniors will meet at 11:30 am in MB217 and Freshman and Sophomores will meet at noon in MB215A

SPANISH CLUB: will meet on Wednesday, October 27 at 3:20 in Room 319.  We will watch Normal, a short film from Venezuela.  Snacks are welcome. For more information contact jtorres@ignatius.edu.

ULTIMATE FRISBEE: Interested in a fast-paced team sport? The St. Ignatius Ultimate Frisbee Team will practice every Tuesday after school “at the grassy area near the MAC” from 3:30pm-4:40pm and every Friday during the common period on the grassy spot near the MAC. New members welcome! Please email Mr. Betz ‘01, Ethan Kamrass ‘22, or Nathan Kuczmarski '22 for any questions!
VELOCAT:    Come ride with the Velocats, the official St. Ignatius High School Cycling Club. We ride most Fridays after school. If interested email Andrey Jakubowycz '22 or Mr. Betz '01. We meet outside of the chapel on the quad before we ride. Ride On!

YOGA CLUB : The Yoga Club provides the opportunity to participate in a yoga practice that incorporates mind and body.  If you are interested in improving your strength and flexibility, finding mental and emotional balance, improving your health, or just want to try something new in a non-judgmental community, come join our club! Participants should dress comfortably and attend as often as possible. It will take place from 12 - 12:35 every Wednesday in Murphy Gym. Please arrive at least 10 min early to sign in and set up your space. There will be no yoga club meeting next Wednesday, October 27th,2021
