GONZAGA SOCIETY:  On Tuesday morning at 7:30 the Gonzaga Society will meet to pray for those in our Saint Ignatius community who are sick.  Everyone is welcome to join us, and we will conclude by 7:45, leaving plenty of time to get to class.  No sign-up is needed.  We hope to see you then!
FLU SHOT: Don’t get sick, get your flu shot quick! Have your consent form signed and returned to the school nurse to participate in the flu vaccine clinic! Rade lunch room, October 26th between 1030 and 1340, be there or be sick. 
Do you want to better understand the news stories flooding your phone on tariffs and the trade war with China? Join us next Wednesday, October 24 to hear Thomas Hout - Professor of International Studies and best selling author - discuss the economic relationship between the United States and China. The Cleveland Council on World Affairs is hosting this sure to be super interesting event at Case Western Reserve. Contact, Andrew Zuchold, for details and to get your name on the list. 
Calling all those who can add and who like to compete:  The first Math League Contest of the year will take place on Tuesday, October 23rd, at 3 p.m. in room 231 (in the math wing).  Come represent St. Ignatius in this national math contest.  The contest will last 30 minutes.
RAILROADERS:  The next meeting of the new Ignatius Model Railroaders Club will be Monday, Oct 22 at 3:00 pm in MB218. We will be continuing to look at equipment that members already own. We will start planning our first long-term layout.  New members are welcome to join the fun TODAY.
Do you like music, are a musician yourself, or would like to get to know America’s art form, Jazz?  Then come to the first "Cats’ for Jazz" meeting TODAY, Monday (10/22) after school where we will listen to and discuss this exciting genre and plan outings, but first come up with a better name.  Feel free to contact Senior DavidPatrick Ryan ( for details.  No musical ability is needed.
The Student Senate will be sponsoring a Sock Drive Competition against Saint Ed's leading up to the Holy War football game. We will be collecting NEW Socks for all ages (Please no dress or ankle socks) in order to make a greater impact on the Cleveland community. The collection will run today through Friday, October 26th. Pallbearer Ministry:  All students and families are invited to celebrate Mass this Sunday, 10/28 at 10:30am at Potters' Field. Join us as we pray for the deceased of the Cleveland area, included those served by the Pallbearer Ministry.  Direction to Potters' Filed are posted on the school's website.  Members of the Pallbearer Ministry are expected to attend, but all are welcome.  Feel free to bring a lawn chair...and dress for the weather!

Student Senate Town Hall - Come for the FIRST EVER Student Senate Town Hall Thursday October 25th in the Senior Lounge from 3-4. Stop by to ask questions and listen to an update from some of your representatives. 
Picture re-takes will be on Monday, October 29th during all lunch periods in the Atrium.  Please stop in the Assistant Principal's office to get an order form if you intend on having your picture retaken.

SAINT IGNATIUS BROADCASTING NETWORK AND STUDENTS SPORTS INFORMATION DEPARTMENT:  There will be an organizational meeting for all current SIBN members and all other  students interested in on-air tryouts for the Saint Ignatius Broadcasting Network (SIBN) immediately after school on Wednesday, October 31 in the Board Room on the first floor of the Main Building.
Anyone interested in on-air announcing, camera work, production and directing events for the SIBN should attend.  There are many opportunities for non-sporting event production work, so if sports is not your thing this club can still be something for you.  There is no need to prepare anything in advance, but come ready to give it your best for the tryouts.
If you are interested in keeping basketball statistics for SIBN broadcasts, writing for the school's sports website or doing social media work at sporting events this meeting is for you as well.  The Student Sports Information Department (SSID) is also seeking members for the winter and spring sports season.

Driver's Ed classes begin on Tuesday, November 6. Classes start after school at 3:15 in Room 212. Pick up a flyer at the Student Life Office for details and registration information. Or, go to:
IGNATIAN ALLIANCE  Stop by MB231 today after school @ 3pm - join the Ignatian Alliance for conversation and pizza.  The Alliance supports students of all sexual orientations and identities, and looks to create a climate of respect and support on campus.  All are welcome, including friends and allies!

BASKETBALL  - Attention any student who is planning on trying out for freshman-JV or varsity basketball this year there will be a brief informational meeting tomorrow in Sullivan gym at 3pm.  If you are involved in a fall sport and planning on trying out please see Mr. Becker during the day.
