Saint Ignatius High School

A Total of 246 AP Scholars Recoginized

With the AP Scholar Awards, the AP Program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on AP Exams.
Jesuit tradition embraces a commitment to lifelong learning. As such, there is an expectation our students will continue their education after graduation. In fact, 99 percent of Saint Ignatius students go on to four-year programs at colleges or universities. This focus on rigorous study has resulted in students who consistently score higher on Advanced Placement (AP) exams than their counterparts throughout the country.

The robust AP courses offered not only prepare students for future academics but also earn them college credits that can help defray college costs. That is why we are proud to announce 246 of our students earned the designation of AP Scholar for the 2017-2018 school year.

An AP Scholar is a student who receives an award from the College Board for outstanding performance on several AP exams. With the AP Scholar Awards, the AP Program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on AP Exams. The 18 AP classes offered at Saint Ignatius provide the opportunity for our students to earn college credit. Many universities give credit for qualifying AP scores. Taking AP exams allow students the chance to save money and get a head start on their degree while still in high school.
