Saint Ignatius is pleased to announce that Most Rev. Nelson J. Perez, Bishop of the Diocese of Cleveland, will be on campus November 1 to celebrate Mass on the Solemnity of All Saints.
In July, Pope Francis named Bishop Perez as the 11th Bishop of Cleveland; he was formally installed to his post in early September. Already the new bishop has made an effort to visit many Catholic schools throughout the diocese.
Bishop Perez will arrive at 8 a.m. for a tour of campus and the chance to meet and have breakfast with students prior to the all-school liturgy in Fr. Sullivan Gymnasium at 10 a.m. We are very honored and eager to welcome the Bishop Perez to Saint Ignatius High School next month.
In order to share this great honor with our community, we invite you to tune into the live broadcast of our All Saints' Day Mass at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Visit ignatiuswildcats.com/sibn-live for the broadcast beginning at 10 a.m.
To learn more about Bishop Perez, the diocese has prepared a complete profile, which you can read here.
