24 HOUR EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: The school will be holding a 24-Hour Eucharistic Adoration this Friday, May 19th at 10:00 A.M. through Saturday May 20th, at 10:00 A.M. This is a tradition started by Mr. Skerl and a great opportunity to relieve some stress before finals, take time to be in the presence of God, and grow in community with your brothers in Christ. Security will be present to ensure student safety overnight in parking lots and walkways. For more information, contact Mr. Vilinsky. Any and all are welcome to attend. Sign up here. WRITING LAB: The Streicher Writing Lab is open every day for students who would like to meet with a teacher for writing help. Students are welcome to bring assignments for any classes, not just English. Click HERE to save a spot or drop in to Room 414A on the 4th floor. The Lab Schedule is posted in English classrooms and on the Google Form. Contact Mr. Yandek with any questions.
CAT - Tree Planting @ Monroe Cemetery. Last year, St. Ignatius students and faculty helped plant 16 trees at Monroe Street Cemetery, and this year, the Cemetery is planning to plant another 16 trees. To that end, students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in this year's tree planting on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. If you are interested in helping on 5/20/23, please complete this Google Form by this Monday 5/15/23: https://forms.gle/WPqKyScLTLnsPe5D9. Once you express interest, you will receive an email with a special waiver form that your parents have to sign if you are under 18 years of age or you have to sign if you are 18 or over; this form is required by the Cemetery to participate. One last note: This is the Saturday before Finals Week. But, if you are going to take a study break, you might as well take a break out in nature serving the community by planting trees, right? CLEAN TEAM: The last Clean Team of the school year will be Thursday, 5/18/23, right after school. No need to sign up, just show up. Meet in the Companions Center on the first floor of Loyola Hall at 3:10 pm on Thursday. Thursday's temperature is forecast to be in the 60's, so it will be a great day to go out! LEGO CLUB: Club members, Just a reminder that we added a second day, Friday, to come build. So show up Wednesday and Friday during the activities period if you are available.
THE MAGIC GATHERING CLUB: “The Magic: The Gathering club will be hosting a draft during the Field Day! For all of those interested, please follow this link for more information and the chance to sign up. To note, if you wish to keep the cards you draft, there will be a $6.00 entry fee to be payed on the day of the event.”
ULTIMATE FRISBEE: Practice every Thursday on the grass field near the M.A.C.from 3:25-4:30pm. Pick-up games every Friday during formation on Kyle Field (weather permitting). Come join us!
