Eucharistic Adoration will be held next Friday, May 21st at 8:00 a.m. through 8:00 a.m. on Saturday May 22nd. We will need someone in front of the Blessed Sacrament at all times. CONSERVATIVE CAUCUS will be meeting today at 11:15 in LH321. Make sure to bring a friend and spread the word! All viewpoints are welcomed to attend and express their opinions. The Ignatius Bird Club: Are you interested in learning about birds and birdwatching? There’s no better way to learn than by doing it! This Thursday, May 13th, the Bird Club is going to the Lakefront Nature Preserve after school in search of migratory spring birds. We will meet on the chapel steps after school and will return to school by 4:45. School transportation is available. Hope to see you there! Model Railroaders: Want to know just how great the World’s Greatest Hobby is? Then come to the Model Railroaders club, which will be meeting again on Wednesday, May 12th, in room 314A of the main building from 11:10-12:10pm. Feel free to bring your lunch! APIAHM Fact : Duke Kahanamoku, Native Hawaiian Olympic Gold Medalist, Surfer, and Actor. Nicknamed “The Big Kahuna,” Duke Kahanamoku was a towering figure in the worlds of sports and entertainment. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1890, Kahanamoku was a five-time Olympic medalist in swimming, having competed in the 1912 Olympics in Stockholm, the 1920 Olympics in Antwerp, and the 1924 Olympics in Paris. Kahanamoku also was an alternate for the U.S. water polo team at the 1932 Olympics in Los Angeles. Following his trail-blazing athletic career, Kahanamoku worked as an actor, sheriff, and surfer, helping to popularize the Hawaiian sport of surfing to a new generation of surfers all over the world.
Attention seniors: Please be sure to fill out your senior extracurricular form for the yearbook. It was sent to you in a Google doc from Mr. DeVenney. If you do not fill this out, there will be no extracurriculars listed next to your picture in the yearbook.
Clean Team: The last Clean Team neighborhood clean-up of the school year will be this Wednesday, May 12th after school. Meet on the steps of St. Mary's Chapel after school at 3:05 pm; we should finish our clean-up by 4:00 pm. The Clean Team is open to students of all grade levels. Green Team: The Green Team will be recycling today during the lunch periods. Juniors and Seniors - your recycling run starts at 11:00 am. Freshmen and Sophomores - your run starts at 11:35 am. See Mr. Savastano or Mr. McCafferty for any questions.

THE PRE-MED SOCIETY will be having a meeting during the lunch period on Thursday in room 304 of the Science Building. We will be distributing senior awards, discussing available positions for the Health Sciences Summer Internship Program and volunteer opportunities through the Cleveland Clinic. All are welcome and you may eat your lunch during the meeting.
St. Joseph of Arimathea Pallbearer Ministry would like to invite all pallbearers and anyone interested to Riverside Cemetery on W 25th St. for a cleanup on Saturday, May 15 from 10am-12pm. Please email Mr. Valletta if you are interested.
BROTHER TO BROTHER CLOTHING DRIVE AND SALE: Today through Wednesday is your final opportunity to donate gently used school dress code appropriate clothing – blazers, dress shirts, pants, ties, belts, shoes and any items with the St. Ignatius logo. Drop your donations in bins in Rade or Mr. Franzinger’s office. The clothing sale will occur on Thursday, May 13 and Friday, May 14 from 10:30 am – 1:00 pm in Rade. Your son can shop with cash, check or Wildcard. All items are $5 or less. Proceeds benefit Pediatric Cancer Research and Treatment in memory of Kevin Healey ’07. The NHS school supplies drive will run through May 14th. Bring in crayons, bookbags, children's masks and any other supplies for grade school students. Please drop them off in the boxes in Rade. These supplies will be sent to local grade schools in need!
