Saint Ignatius High School

Celebrating Women's History Month

During the month of March, Saint Ignatius High School will host events to celebrate Women’s History Month.

March 1, 2020 kicks off the official start of Women’s History Month. Since 1987, March has been the designated time frame used to draw special attention to the remarkable women who have made significant contributions to our communities.

We are grateful for the women who continue to strengthen our Saint Ignatius community and enrich our lives through their intellectual gifts and creative talents. Join us in celebrating the women who have made history in large and small ways, forging new grounds at Saint Ignatius High School and our greater society.

All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in the YWCA 21 Day Challenge. The challenge is designed to create dedicated time and space to build more effective social justice habits, particularly those dealing with issues of race, power, privilege, and leadership. Participants will be prompted daily with challenges such as reading an article, listening to a podcast, reflecting on personal experience and more. Our 2020 Women's History Month celebration will conclude with a discussion about participants' experiences with this challenge.
