Saint Ignatius High School

Four Students Recognized in Writing Competition

Thousands of students enter their work into a writing competition hosted by the Cleveland Institute of Art each year. Under the guidance of English teacher Kimberly Gross, Saint Ignatius has the honor of recognizing four sophomore students who received awards for their writing pieces. Congratulations to these men on their outstanding accomplishments!

Under the leadership and guidance of English teacher Kimberly Gross, Saint Ignatius had three students receive Gold Key Awards and one student recognized with an honorable mention from the Cleveland Institute of Art for the 2023 Annual Scholastic Writing Awards! With nearly 2,000 entries and over 30 schools represented, it was an honor to have four brilliant Saint Ignatius writers recognized in this year's competition.

Simon Booth '25, Max Mullady '25 and George Olecki '25 received Gold Keys in this year's competition. Their work can be found here, and they will go on to compete at the national level. Maksym Napora '25 received an honorable mention, and his piece, "Beyond the Wall," can be read here. Congratulations to these men, and thank you to the wonderful mentors, teachers and writers who inspire our students daily.
