2025 Community and Belonging Award—Cat Geletka

Congratulations to this year's Community and Belonging Award Winner Cat Geletka.

Saint Ignatius Community and Belonging Award - Presented to Cat Geletka

The Saint Ignatius Community and Belonging Award recognizes companions of community and belonging and their efforts to help Saint Ignatius High School live out its mission. Through their dedication, compassion, and commitment to inclusion, recipients of this award foster a culture where all feel welcomed, valued, and supported.

In recognition of her unwavering dedication to service, mentorship, and advocacy, we proudly honor Cat Geletka with the St. Ignatius Community and Belonging Award. Through her work, Cat creates spaces of connection and support, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive in a community rooted in faith and love.

Now in her fourth year at Saint Ignatius High School, Cat serves as an Academic Coach in the Walton Center, directs the Summer Bridge Program, co-coordinates peer tutoring and the Junior/Senior Advisory Programs, and has attended the HBCU tour with MSU. She is a proud member of The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio's LeadDIVERSITY cohort and finds joy in singing with her mother in the Taizé choir at school.

Beyond Saint Ignatius, Cat actively supports organizations with missions close to her heart, including Resource Cleveland, Camp Lilac, and Boys Hope Girls Hope of Northeast Ohio. She is also a part-time mental health therapist at Ellie Mental Health in Westlake, further deepening her commitment to the well-being of others.

In her free time, Cat can often be found hiking, exploring museums, or tending to the community garden in Gordon Square—living out her passion for connection, discovery, and joy.

With deep gratitude, we celebrate Cat’s profound impact on our school and the greater community, recognizing her as a true companion in the Ignatian tradition—one who walks alongside others, fostering a spirit of belonging, care, and purpose.

Congratulations, Cat Geletka!
