The Carfagna Family Magis Athletic Center

The Athletic Center will be part of the Campus South Athletic Complex, which also included the turfing of Kyle and McLaughlin fields. This field house and locker room will be constructed to better house practices and equipment.
After breaking ground on June 5, progress is being made on The Carfagna Family Magis Athletic Center (MAC). As part of the $75 million Campaign for Saint Ignatius High School, the Athletic Center will be part of the Campus South Athletic Complex, which also included the turfing of Kyle and McLaughlin fields. This field house and locker room will be constructed to better house practices and equipment.

All of the underground work for plumbing and electrical is complete and the walls for the front portion are currently in process.  Despite the wet and cold weather, the construction crew is making steady progress.

The first floor of the front portion of the MAC will house locker rooms, offices, storage, meeting space and quiet prayer/reflection/study space. The second floor will house the crew ergometers and additional storage. The field house will have the same turf as Kyle and McLaughlin fields and will feature retractable netting for batting cages, a golf simulator and many other features that will make this a one-of-a-kind facility for our athletic programs, marching band, and community programs.

Completion of the MAC is scheduled for May 2019 with a grand opening celebration planned for June 2, 2019.

"Our vision of use is still being shaped as we anticipate the opening of our training center," Assistant Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach Brad Ganor says. "The impact this will have on our athletic programs will  be felt for generations."
