Saint Ignatius Partners With FanVu for Exclusive Wildcat Football Streaming

FanVu becomes the official home for Wildcat Football video streaming for the remaining home games; the SIBN will continue to cover games as an audio-only stream.

Saint Ignatius High School is excited to announce the partnership of a brand-new streaming platform dedicated to showcasing the football program through FanVu. This innovative service is free for all users and offers a full production experience, bringing fans closer to the action than ever before.

"We're thrilled because we're on the ground floor of a broadcast opportunity that will grow significantly," explains Athletic Director Rory Fitzpatrick '88. "We are working with other high schools in Ohio that include St. Edward, Hoban, and Massillon."

FanVu is designed with the community in mind, providing a seamless way for alums, families, students, and fans across the globe to stay connected with Saint Ignatius Football. Every home game will be broadcast live in high-definition with professional commentary, multiple camera angles, replays, and in-depth analysis, ensuring that viewers feel as if they are right on the sidelines.

"Our priority was to ensure that our streams didn't come with a paywall; Wildcat Football streams will remain free to viewers," Fitzpatrick says. "The revenue gained will not be coming from the viewer, instead it will be sponsorships and advertisements that will assist in offsetting the cost of athletics at Saint Ignatius High School."

Brendan Gulick, class of 2009, will be the play-by-play voice for Wildcat Football. Our first aired game on FanVu will occur this Friday, August 30, when the Wildcats host the Mentor Cardinals at John Carroll University.

"We are fortunate that we will have Brendan to call our games, someone who is familiar with our program and mission," says Fitzpatrick. "We also see an opportunity for our SIBN students to learn the production side of broadcasting, shadowing FanVu at football games."

The Saint Ignatius Broadcasting Network will continue to cover games and will be the audio home for Wildcat Football. The SIBN will have video coverage for the following remaining games of the 2024 football season: Dublin Coffman, Walsh Jesuit, and St. Xavier.
