THE EYE: Interested in writing for the school paper? Does editing and designing the pages of the newspaper catch your interest? Join The Eye in its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, August 21, from 3-3:30 in room MB416. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Yandek, Darien Kulchytsky, or Terry McCafferty.

Wildflats - Like to sing? Want free pizza? If you answered yes to both those questions, come down to the Chorus Room after school on Monday 8/19 for our first meeting of Wildflats for the year. Wildflats is our fun, pop a cappella group that is open to any student at Saint Ignatius. It's a great time to work on those singing skills, and have a fun time doing it! Come check it out! 
Liturgical MusiciansAny instrumentalists who would like to offer their gifts at the All-School Masses this year, should plan on joining the Liturgical Musicians. This group meets Thursdays after school and learns music for our liturgies. If interested, email Mr. Croglio (
POLICY DEBATE:  Anyone interested in competing in Policy Debate should meet in room 512 after school today and Tuesday.

The Poster Cats is a student organization that creates and displays posters around campus at the request of faculty and other student organizations.  We meet every Tuesday morning at 7:30 in Room LH 220.  We are a low pressure club that does not demand a lot of your time, but allows you to get involved in providing a nice service to the school.  If you think this might be a good fit for you, stop by at our first meeting of the year TOMORROW - Tuesday, August 20 - at 7:30 AM in LH 220.

Picture Day:  This Thursday, August 22 is picture day for all students.  Ripcho Studio will be here during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in Atrium.  Your homeroom teachers have the picture order forms.  You can also go online to order pictures.  All students, except seniors, need to have their picture taken for the yearbook.  Thank you.

Come to the Saint Ignatius Broadcasting Network's meeting on Wednesday, August 21 at 3 pm in Room 215A in the main building! #Heroes: Looking for a way to be involved this school year? Come to the #Heroes meeting Tuesday August 20th in room 313 at 3:00 p.m. The meeting will last approximately 20 minutes. This club is open to all students freshman through seniors. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Woytek in the PE department or Mrs. Sebring in the foreign language department.
Attention sophomores who are scheduled for Prayer Group this fall:  Sophomore Prayer Groups will not begin meeting until Monday, September 9th. Please report to the chapel during your designated class period beginning that week. Thank you.

SCOPE is a new club on campus this year!  Stop by the Counseling Conference Room in the basement of the Main Building on Wednesday September 4th, and every Wednesday with SCOPE: Students for Compassion, Outreach, Perseverance, and Education.  SCOPE is a club looking to eliminate the stigma of illnesses affecting mental health in the Saint Ignatius community through education, awareness, and activities on campus. It is open to students of all grades who know and care about someone affected by this as well anyone feeling overwhelmed or overly stressed. Activities in the future may include therapy dogs on campus, guided group meditations, yoga, special guest speakers, and mental health week! Our first activity of the year will be a group walk to Mitchell’s, so come enjoy some ice cream and see what SCOPE is all about! Contact Mrs. Colborn ( for more information.
Yearbook: Our first yearbook meeting of the year will take place next Wed., August 21 at 3:00 in campus ministry. Pizza and pop will be served. STEM Society:  Come join the STEM Society, a weekly club that will have its first meeting of the 2019-2020 school year on Friday, September 6 after school in Mr. Foster's Room, SC102. The STEM Society wants to change the way students are able to interact, involve, evolve, and grow their career interests in STEM by providing an environment for hands-on activities, discussion, and interactive labs, and this year we are expanding on this goal by adding activities and experiments focused on medicine, chemistry, and aeronautics. Our meetings alternate between Fridays and Tuesdays, and if you have any questions or are interested in joining, please contact Ryan Zix '21 or Sanat Subhash '21. 
Pallbearers:  If you are a junior or senior interested in joining the St. Joseph of Arimathea Pallbearer Ministry you are invited to attend a training session. We are holding three sessions, but you only need to attend one of them. Each session will be held in St. Mary’s Chapel and will last about 75 minutes. Late arrivals will not be admitted.

Gaming Club: The Gaming Club is looking for active members as well as a student leader to help Mr. Boenker organize events and to organize pen-and-paper role playing campaigns. Most of the club's members were seniors, so we are depending on new members to continue. Please contact Mr. Boenker if you are interested in playing or meeting with other like-minded people around video games, board games, or pen-and-paper role playing games.
