Advancement Role Changes

As we celebrate a successful completion of our year in fundraising and look to secure the needs for this new fiscal year, we also look to evaluate what is working best and how to adequately meet the needs of our community. To that end we have adjusted a few roles within the Advancement office.
As we celebrate a successful completion of our year in fundraising and look to secure the needs for this new fiscal year, we also look to evaluate what is working best and how to adequately meet the needs of our community. To that end we have adjusted a few roles within the Advancement Office. This decision will allow us to maximize the outreach to our Saint Ignatius High School community as well as continue reaching our fundraising goals moving forward.

Dan Malone ’00 has successfully served as Director of the Annual Fund and Alumni Relations during his nearly five years in the office of Advancement. Dan has exceled in both roles, but continual growth to our annual fundraising needs requires more attention. Going forward, Dan will now focus solely on our annual fundraising as Director of Annual Fund and Leadership Giving. As tuition assistance for current students remains a top priority, Dan’s expertise and attention to the Annual Fund is crucial to continue raising the necessary dollars that will provide access to an education here at Saint Ignatius High School.

Garen Distelhorst ’96 will assume the role of Director of Alumni Relations and Athletic Gift Officer. Garen will continue the outreach to alumni across the country. He will also look to utilize his past involvement with athletics to aid in fundraising efforts with the athletic community.

Lastly, Jeff McCormick ’83 will assume all donor relations responsibilities along with his current role as Director of Development and Planned Giving.

In an effort to meet our fundraising goals, these role changes reflect our dedication to maximizing our outreach to the gracious benefactors and broad alumni base that make up the Saint Ignatius High School community.
