Saint Ignatius High School

Junior Cats Program

All 2019 Wildcat for a Day participants are invited to take part in the Junior Cats Program. This program invites prospective students back to campus to attend various events in the areas of athletics, service, fine arts and spirituality.

What is the Junior Cats Program?

At Saint Ignatius High School, we offer an array of extracurricular activities, where students can embrace their passions and showcase their talents- whether it be through athletics, service, fine arts or spirituality programs. The Junior Cats program was created for middle school students to attend events in these areas so they may picture where their interests and talents can be utilized as a Saint Ignatius student.

Participating middle school students will receive free admission for themselves and a parent/guardian to the listed events when they present their Junior Cats stamp card upon entrance. Participants are encouraged to share photos of themselves at Junior Cats specified events using the hashtag #SIHSJuniorCats. All completed Junior Cats cards will get entered into a raffle.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How does my son get his card stamped?

Depending on the specific event, stickers will either be distributed at the event's admission booth or a designated employee will hand out the stickers to ensure participants receive credit for attendance. Please note that stickers can be collected at the "traveling bookstore" at Saint Ignatius home football games at Byers Field.

2. Who is eligible to participate in the Junior Cats Program?

Eighth grade students who participate in the Wildcat for a Day shadow program at Saint Ignatius High School are automatically eligible to participate in the Junior Cats program.

3. What are the Junior Cats prizes and where can they be redeemed?

There are three tiers of prizes for our Junior Cats card. Prize one is a pair of Saint Ignatius socks, prize two is a Saint Ignatius water bottle, and prize three is a Saint Ignatius Nike bag. Students can receive prize one after attending three Junior Cats events, prize two after attending six Junior Cats events, and prize three after attending all nine Junior Cats events. Prizes can be redeemed at the Saint Ignatius bookstore, located on the first floor of Loyola Hall. Participants will also receive a 15% off coupon for their next visit to the bookstore. The Junior Cats card must be present to redeem rewards.

4. Can my son receive credit for attending an event even if he forgets to bring his card?

If the card is forgotten but an event is still attended, present proof of attendance (ticket, photo, etc) at the Saint Ignatius bookstore to receive a stamp for that event. However, no refunds can be given for ticketed events.

5. When does the Junior Cats card need to be completed?

Students must complete the card by the end of the 2019-2020 school year (Friday, May 22, 2020) to redeem all three tiers of prizes.

6. Does the Junior Cats card guarantee admission to all listed events?

On the rare occasion that an event is sold out, admission into the event can not be guaranteed. Free admission will not be granted for away athletic games or games against St. Edward High School. For events taking place at the Breen Center for the Performing Arts, we encourage you to reserve your tickets on our website using the promo code listed on your information sheet.

7. Can my son complete the stamp card if he received his Junior Cats card after events already took place?

Although attending one event per category is ideal, there will be some participants who receive their Junior Cats cards after events have already taken place. These students may attend two events that fall under the same numbered category to allow for an equal opportunity for completion.
