Saint Ignatius High School

Admissions Test

Sign up for an Admissions Test at Saint Ignatius High School and take the first step to become a Wildcat. Students applying to Saint Ignatius High School are required to take our test here on one of the three dates offered.

The first-step of the admissions process is taking our Admissions Test. Tests will be offered:

  • October 3, 2020
  • October 31, 2020
The Admissions test covers math, English and reading, and is used as one of the criteria for evaluating prospective students. All prospective students must take this test at least once at Saint Ignatius High School.

The test fee is $20, which can be paid online during registration. If you have any questions about payment, please contact Patti Walcutt in the Finance Office at ext. 328.

At the test, each student will receive several forms that will need to be returned to our office by late January:

  • Principal/Teacher Recommendation

  • Pastor Recommendation

All the test dates are Saturdays, and all of the tests start at 8:30 a.m. and end around noon. There will be a parent information session in The Breen Center for the Performing Arts on all three test dates. These sessions will begin at 8:30 a.m. and cover admissions and financial aid policies, among other things. Campus tours will be offered on these dates to allow parents to become acquainted with all we have to offer at Saint Ignatius.

Students applying to Saint Ignatius High School are required to take our test here on one of the dates offered. Students are permitted to take the test at Saint Ignatius multiple times. If a student takes the test multiple times at different schools, we will accept higher scores from other schools that use the same test, the HSPT. During the Saint Ignatius test, students will receive their Student ID, a folder with applications, letters of recommendation, and more important information. Parents will also have the chance to attend an Information Session presented by Admissions Director Pat O'Rourke '90 during the test.
