The story of Saint Ignatius of Loyola is that of a young Spaniard of Basque origins who learned Latin and Greek, studied in Paris before founding the Jesuits in Rome. His charges soon traversed the globe. Isaac Jogues to the Americas, Matteo Ricci to China, Francis Xavier to India, Peter Claver to South America. Their contributions are forever lasting and have shaped the world we occupy today.
The Department of Global Outreach seeks to continue the legacy left by these great men. With over 3000 schools world-wide and secondary schools in over 50 countries, the Jesuit community is truly global. As a student you are a part of this community and are invited to take advantage of the amazing possibilities offered by your Jesuit connections. Ite orbem terrae ad flammandum!
