Gifts of Securities/Stock Transfers
Many donors prefer to make gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or exchange traded funds.
How to Make a Gift
We have an intuitive, easy-to-use tool that will guide you through the process in less than 10 minutes! This tool will complete the required forms for your brokerage and automatically provide the information you need to have the stock sent to the Saint Ignatius account at UBS.
If you have any questions, difficulty using the tool or feedback please contact Jeff McCormick, Director of Development and Planned giving at 216-281-4377 or email@example.com.
Why Donate Appreciated Assets?
There are two key factors that many donors consider when making a gift of appreciated assets: impact on our mission and potential tax benefits.
Impact on our Mission
Many of our most committed donors find they’re able to give more generously when they donate appreciated assets than if they’d simply given cash. That generosity means we’re able to achieve more and advance our mission faster.
Potential Tax Benefits
If you are itemizing deductions on your tax return, you may be eligible for a charitable deduction of the full value of your gift. Whether or not you are itemizing deductions, though, donating an appreciated asset can help you avoid paying tax on capital gains. Always discuss donations with a tax consultant to maximize your benefits.
Planned gifts are an excellent way to support Jesuit education. Click here for more information at plannedgiving.ignatius.edu.
IRA Charitable Rollover
You may be looking for a way to make a big difference to help further our mission. If you are 70½ or older you may also be interested in a way to lower the income and taxes from your IRA withdrawals. An IRA charitable rollover is a way you can help continue our work and benefit this year. LEARN MORE

Annual Saint Ignatius High School Giving Day
Saint Ignatius High School alumni, parents and friends are invited to rally together in a 24-hour day of philanthropic giving each March, in celebration of our Jesuit, Catholic heritage and mission.
Our patron and founder of the Jesuit order, St. Ignatius Loyola, was canonized by Pope Gregory XV on March 12, 1622. Our hope is that each year on March 12th, in honor of St. Ignatius, donors will show their support of our mission.
All gifts received on this day will help support the Annual Fund campaign. This yearly fundraising initiative ensures a world-class learning environment for our young men and helps offset operating expenses so the school can provide tuition assistance to families that otherwise would not be able to afford Saint Ignatius.
Named and Endowed scholarships provide a permanent source of funding for qualified students and families attending Saint Ignatius High School. Funding a scholarship allows students from all financial backgrounds to attend Saint Ignatius. Contact the Advancement Office at (216) 651-0222 ext. 228 for more information.
