This mission trip to Alabama will introduce students to a variety of cultural issues, especially in regards to race, and help students better understand the history and systems of injustice in the United States.

The Alabama mission trip introduces students to a variety of cultural issues, especially with regards to race, and helps students better understand the history and systems of injustice in the United States. Taking place in one of the most historic states of the Civil Rights Movement, participants will visit important historical sites, volunteer at agencies, study and hear about the milestones in civil rights in the United States, and pray for continued progress in combatting injustices.

    The Fr. Thomas Gafney, S.J. ’50 Mission Trip Program sends students to domestic and international destinations in pursuit of service, learning and faith-formation. These summer immersion experiences are open to students after sophomore year.
