For more than 25 years, Arrupe has hosted one of the largest summer enrichment programs for children in the City of Cleveland. Nearly 200 3rd-8th grade neighborhood kids register annually for the Arrupe Summer Program, held at nearby Urban Community School. During this four-week experience, each participant is matched up with a high school counselor who acts as a mentor and friend throughout the duration of the summer.
Attendees participate in daily classes covering math, language arts, science and healthy habits; receive breakfast and lunch daily; play sports and try out arts activities; and attend as many as four field trips to unique and interesting locations.
Junior high students participate in the Arrupe Explorers program, with activities and programs geared toward preparation for high school and career opportunities. Some of our previous activities have involved robotics, culinary and rowing.
Don't miss out on the opportunity to have an unforgettable summer!
