Loyola Society Evening of Reflection
We are called by God to show love in our everyday acts, even those that are seemingly the simplest. "Do ordinary things with extraordinary love" was selected as the Loyola Society theme for the 2024-2025 school year by Loyola President, Tina Mamone, to illustrate that we are called to "bring love into everything we do...what matters is the amount of love we offer." The Saint Ignatius community is a living example of sharing love with others through giving of oneself. Please join us for our fall evening of reflection as we gather as a community to celebrate Mass, share fellowship, and gain insight from speakers demonstrating their love by sharing their time with us.
Mass: Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 7 p.m.
Saint Mary of the Assumption Chapel
Fr. Matt Donovan, S.J. presiding
Theme: Extraordinary Love
Evening of Reflection Speakers:
Following Mass, recently ordained Fr. Patrick Hyland, S.J. '05 and his mother, Cynthia Hyland, will offer a discussion sharing their experiences from discernment through ordination into the Society of Jesus, from both the perspective of a son entering the priesthood, and a mother supporting her son's answering of God's call.
Parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of Saint Ignatius are invited to this free event. Mass, reflection, and light refreshments are included. We look forward to seeing you on October 23!
