Red Riding Hood & the White Witches
An original contemporary story ballet by Northeast Ohio's newest professional dance company
What sacrifices would you make for love?
Ballet Legato, brings their premier of Red Riding Hood & the White Witches
to The Breen Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, February 15 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, February 16 at 2 p.m.
The story, set in a small Irish village sometime in the 1200s, tells a tale of love, loss, lies and sacrifice. This dark contemporary ballet has some twists and turns and is sure to keep the audience on the edge of their seats. Choreographed by Jennifer Muselin, former principle dancer with Ohio Dance Theatre and Ballet Legato, Executive Artistic Director, it's not quite the childhood tale you remember.
Dancing alongside our Ballet Legato company dancers Natalie Atman, Megan Carcioppolo, Jennifer Milani and Caleb Waybright is Kassandra Lee, from NEOS Dance Theatre as Scarlett (Red Riding Hood), Domonique Glover, formerly of Toledo Ballet and dance professional as Bron, Scarlett's father/Wolf and Richard Oaxaca from Wisconsin's Kanopy Dance Company as Morrigan, the Raven of Death.
