Education is Essential

COVID-19 has presented a tremendous challenge for Saint Ignatius High School to balance our mission of providing an academically rigorous, Catholic, Jesuit education along with the health and safety recommendations of leading healthcare experts. On Monday, March 15, students returned to full-day, in-person learning.

Spring Into Action

Spring Into Action is Saint Ignatius High School's day of service in our Ohio City community. Students lead projects at various sites as families, friends, alumni and neighbors help us give back to our community through spring clean-up work. The 2021 Spring Into Action will take place on Saturday, April 24, from about 9 a.m. to noon. Registration is required!

Spring Into Action, an initiative of the Christian Action Team (C.A.T.), is Saint Ignatius High School's day of service in our Ohio City community. Students lead projects at various sites as families, friends and alumni help us give back to our community through spring clean-up work.

The 2021 Spring Into Action will take place on Saturday, April 24, from about 9 a.m. to noon.

The day begins with a light breakfast, followed by a couple hours of service at sites around the neighborhood, led by students. We reconvene back on campus for a cookout lunch. Registration is required to help us know how many people to expect and divide groups appropriately for physical distancing.

In recent years, Spring Into Action has truly become a community event, with Ohio City neighbors joining members of the Saint Ignatius community in these various projects. In 2019, more than 150 people showed up to help out. Previous projects have included home renovation, graffiti abatement, tending to community and home gardens, and making area homes safer for sustainable living environments.
