In Memoriam

This Saturday it will be seven years since the life of Jim Skerl ‘74 moved from this world to the next. Today, Mr. Healey recounts how Mr. Skerl's impact on him, and his model for how to live, continues to inspire and animate the students of Saint Ignatius High School.

With the AP Scholar Awards, the AP Program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on AP Exams.

A professional development day this past Monday sent Mr. Healey down memory lane, recalling the first novel he used to teach freshmen Theology 40 years ago. The way to teaching students well, he has learned over those years, is through the head--and the heart.

We proudly recognize 33 members of the senior class who were named National Merit Scholars for the 2021-2022 school year. Of those, 12 students are named National Merit Semifinalists, 15 are named Commended Scholars and 6 were named College Board National Recognition Program Scholars.
