Tuition & Financial Assistance

Saint Ignatius High School offers merit scholarships determined by Admissions Test (HSPT) scores.

A student must meet academic and disciplinary standards to be eligible for renewal annually.

Prospective students are strongly encouraged to take an Admissions Test at Saint Ignatius High School on one of the dates offered in October and November. However, test scores from other schools may be accepted for scholarship determination. 

In order to be considered, these test scores must be submitted by December 2, 2025.

Saint Ignatius High School offers need-based tuition assistance. All prospective students who would like to apply for tuition assistance for the 2026-27 school year must complete a FACTS Grant & Aid application to gather and analyze family financial information to assess a family’s ability to pay tuition.

The amount of tuition assistance is based upon a family’s financial need. Saint Ignatius High School strives to assess each family’s financial situation based on their unique circumstances. Complete, accurate and timely information is required. Applications submitted after the deadline and/or with incomplete or inaccurate information may result in reduction or denial of tuition assistance.

Saint Ignatius High School accepts the Cleveland Scholarship, EdChoice Scholarship, EdChoice Expansion Scholarship, and Jon Peterson* Scholarship from the Ohio Department of Education. All families qualify for a state scholarship through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. The applications and renewal forms are available in February.  

In order to be eligible for need-based tuition assistance from Saint Ignatius High School, each student must also apply for one of the available ODEW scholarships once forms are available in February.

FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment application and all supporting documents must be completed no later than November 1, 2025 if the prospective student/family wants to ensure that they will receive their financial assistance package before making their high school decision.

Families who complete this process will receive an estimated tuition assistance award in writing by late December.

You will need to submit your federal income tax return, W-2 forms, and supporting documentation for non-taxable income.

Additional supporting documentation may be requested. 

It is the policy of Saint Ignatius High School that both parents complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment application for their student.

Each parent can complete a separate and confidential FACTS application independently.

Yes. Students can receive a combination of multiple types of tuition assistance. Families can apply for both tuition assistance from Saint Ignatius High School (through FACTS), AND a scholarship from the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (ODEW), in addition to receiving a Merit Scholarship.

In order to be eligible for need-based tuition assistance, each student must also apply for one of the available ODEW Scholarships once forms are available in February. 

The Magis Scholarship is available to incoming freshman of great promise who exemplify the magis, a Latin word meaning "more," and whose families have demonstrated financial need as determined through the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment application.

A limited number of incoming freshmen will be selected to receive this scholarship.
