Classroom Action Research

Cultivating Student Engagement in the Classroom: Empowering Learners to Achieve Excellence in Jesuit Schools.

The Center for Ignatian Pedagogy conducts research aimed at deepening learning and rooting student experience meaningfully in our Jesuit roots. Our faculty harnesses the generative power of the IPP (Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm) and the core principles of Ignatian Spirituality to elevate student learning experiences.

Informed by emerging research and best practices in the science of teaching and learning and Mind, Brain, Education, the Center for Ignatian Pedagogy’s ongoing research empowers educators and students to partner in action research projects rooted in the dynamic, real-life contexts of adolescent boys.

The iterative and mindful phases of action research mirror those of the IPP and provides an intentional and practical approach to classroom research that our teachers can implement to elevate their pedagogical and instructional practices.
