"Today our prime educational objective must be to form men-for-others; men who will live not for themselves but for God; men who cannot even conceive of love of God which does not include love for the least of their neighbors; men completely convinced that love of God which does not issue in justice for others is a farce."
– Fr. Pedro Arrupe, S.J.
In the sentiment expressed by Fr. Arrupe, Saint Ignatius students seek to live as ‘Men for Others.’ Our mission is to form men who will live this motto for the Church and the world.
We are a community of different backgrounds and interests, but with a single, driving purpose: We serve the Church for the greater glory of God, whether around the corner or around the globe.
We offer more than 20 Christian Service initiatives that fall under the Christian Action Team (C.A.T.) and the Arrupe Neighborhood Partnership (Arrupe) and offer opportunities to practice the Works of Mercy.
The C.A.T. comes together each Thursday after school to share the service happenings at Saint Ignatius from the past week. At this meeting share stories of building relationships through service to many different populations including the homeless, adults with developmental disabilities, under-resourced neighborhood children and families, the sick, active and veteran U.S. troops, and the deceased.
