College Counseling

TO THE CLASS OF 2010: AS OF TODAY, JUNE 16TH, YOUR FINAL TRANSCRIPT HAS BEEN MAILED OUT TO YOUR COLLEGE.

The Counseling Department at Saint Ignatius is made up of two areas:  Guidance Counseling and College Counseling.

The Guidance Counselors work on a daily basis to help the students of all grade levels become successful and reach graduation.  The counselors pride themselves on compassion and understanding for the teenager.  The counselors roles include, but are not limited to scheduling, testing and running educational groups for students.  Individual student meetings are set up by the students and by the counselors.

The College Counselors dedicate their time to helping seniors and second semester juniors understand, compile, create, and review the necessary tools needed to start their college careers.  College counselors also work at great lengths with the parents/families of the students to help them through the college admission process.
