Parent Clubs

Multicultural Parents' Group

The Multicultural Parent Group is open to all current parents/guardians. The mission of the group is to advise, support and advocate for a campus climate that fosters the academic, social, cultural and spiritual development of students of all groups. Meetings will be held on the third Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the library classroom unless otherwise noted:

Members may assist with programs such as:

  • Multicultural Student Reception
  • Diversity education workshops for students, staff and parents
  • Parent to parent outreach within targeted schools
  • Spiritual/religious events (i.e. prayer services or candlelight vigils)
  • Cultural and Heritage Celebrations throughout the year (including but not limited to):
    • Black History Month, Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month, Women's History Month, Unity in Diversity
