Tuition and Financial Assistance

The cost of tuition for the 2014-2015 school year is $14,300.00. The Education Fee is $350 per year. Saint Ignatius High School will award $5 million in financial assistance this school year. Over 50% of our students qualify for assistance, which is granted on a basis of need. The average student who receives financial assistance receives $6,500. Saint Ignatius High School employs PSAS (Private School Aid Service) to determine each family's need. See below for more details.

Merit Scholarships

Saint Ignatius High School is proud to announce that we will be offering Merit Scholarships to all students who demonstrate excellence on our Entrance Exam. Those students who score from 93-96 on the test will receive $1000 awards, and those students who score from 97-99 on the test will receive $3000 awards. These awards will be granted in addition to a student's normal need-based financial aid package (total not to exceed the cost of full tuition). Saint Ignatius administers the High School Placement Test (HSPT) version of the Entrance Exam. The HSPT series is produced by the Scholastic Testing Service.

Tuition Assistance - Prospective Students

All prospective students who would like to apply for tuition assistance for the 2015-2016 school year must complete a Private School Aid Service Application. The application is available on our website. The completed application along with all supporting documents must be mailed to Private School Aid Service and postmarked by November 14, 2014. Each family that applies for assistance will be notified of their award in writing by early January. Please note that for divorced, separated or unmarried families, Saint Ignatius High School requires that both parents complete a PSAS application to be considered for aid.

Tuition Assistance – Current Students

All current students who would like to apply for Tuition Assistance for the 2015-2016 school year must complete the current PSAS application by May 1, 2015. You can download the form or complete it directly on the PSAS website our school code is 2000. Please note that for divorced, separated or unmarried parents, Saint Ignatius High School requires that both parents complete a PSAS application to be considered for aid.  For more information about the Private School Aid Service, call (440) 892-4272 or check them out online at www.psas.org.

Cleveland Scholarship and Tutoring Voucher Program and the EdChoice Scholarship Program

Cleveland Scholarship and Tutoring Voucher Program

The Cleveland Scholarship and Tutoring Voucher Program is available for students who reside in the City of Cleveland.  If you currently receive a voucher you must complete the Voucher Renewal form and submit it to the Saint Ignatius High School Finance Office 1911 West 30th Street, Cleveland, Ohio  44113, along with a current utility bill and a copy of your son’s birth certificate by April 1, 2015.  If you live in the City of Cleveland and do not currently receive the voucher we encourage you to apply by completing the Voucher Request form and submitting it to the Finance Office along with a current utility bill and a copy of your son’s birth certificate by April 1, 2015.  If you believe your family meets the low income guidelines you will need to complete the Voucher Income Verification form and mail it directly to the Ohio Department of Education Cleveland Scholarship Program 25 South Front Street, MS 309 Columbus, Ohio  43215.

EdChoice Scholarship Program


The EdChoice Scholarship Program provides an opportunity for students attending low-performing public schools to receive state-funded scholarships to attend private school. Public schools eligible are listed here.   If you currently receive the EdChoice Scholarship you will need to complete the Edchoice Renewal form and submit it along with a current utility bill and a copy of your son’s birth certificate to the Saint Ignatius High School Finance Office 1911 West 30th Street Cleveland, Ohio  44113, by April 1, 2015.  If you do not already receive the EdChoice scholarship and would like to apply please complete the Edchoice Request form and submit the completed form along with a current utility bill and a copy of your son’s birth certificate to the Finance Office by April 1, 2015.  If you believe you meet the low income guidelines you must also complete the EdChoice Income Verification Form and mail that directly to the Ohio Department of Education EdChoice Scholarship Program 25 S.
