The Passing of our Beloved Jim Skerl
The Saint Ignatius High School community is mourning the loss of alumnus and long time faculty member, Jim Skerl ’74. Jim passed away on October 23, surrounded by his family. Jim’s positive influence on the lives of thousands of Saint Ignatius students over the years is immeasurable. He was a teacher to his colleagues and friends as well.

In lieu of flowers, Jim requested that memorials be made to the charity of your choice. If you would like to make a gift to Saint Ignatius High School in memory of Jim, please CLICK HERE and select "Jim Skerl '74 Memorial Fund" from the Designation dropdown list.

Prayer for Generosity

Lord, teach me to be generous.
Teach me to serve you as you deserve:
to give and not to count the cost,
to fight and not to heed the wounds,
to toil and not to seek for rest,
to labor and not to ask for reward,
save that of knowing that I do your will.

- St. Ignatius of Loyola
